One of our regular and favorite skate spots is Riverslide skate park in Melbourne. Placed right next to the Yarra River and the CBD this park is a fantastic place to get some street skating happening, and also one of the first places I personally tackled “fun boxes”… Anyway, the guys at Riverslide have a really friendly attitude and a deep respect and support for local culture. We feel very honoured to now be stocked in their store, conveniently located at the park, and look forward to seeing you all there for a sesh one day soon!

Around a month ago our first ever airbrushed “one off” deck named Crowscum caught the attention of many of our team riders and supporters. It wasn’t long before she was purchased and shipped off overseas… and since then riders have been pestering us to recreate the design into a limited range of full print boards…

We are proud to say they are here! Our first product line for 2012 features the meaty abuse taking ply we used for the Dark Facility decks, and some funky shapes to choose from. The coloured stain under the print only becomes obvious after many a round of shredding, rails and high contact with hard surfaces… exposing bright coloured scars to be proud of! We have only made 10 of these, so get in quick! Available at our ebay store.

We have been busy the last few weeks getting some more one-off hand printed decks made… it is our great pleasure to introduce:

008 – White Dragon Keyscale

9 x 32.8″ Pool Deck with 15″ wheelbase. Black stain with white enamel and hard clearcoat. January 23rd ushers in the Year of the Dragon, and what better way to celebrate than to skate a fire breathing beast of wisdom in the parks and pools!

012 – Engine of Darkness

8.5″ Traditional Deck with 14.25″ wheelbase for street and technical skaters. All aussie wood with matte black enamel on raw ply, currently awaiting clear coating application in a week or so. This is our most challenging print yet, and the wait was worth it!

At last! After 3 months of manufacturing by hand in California, our Cretespine decks have arrived and are now for sale in the Dawn Industy shop or our Ebay Store

There are only 10 of these decks total, in sizes ranging from skinnybum 7.75″ through to bigfoot 8.5″.

As always, these are 7 Ply USA hard rock maple, pressed and finished by hand, and then full color printed.

FUSEJAW Custom Deck 006 – Printed!

Fusejaw has just been printed, and we are really happy with this one! Our most complex hand printed job to date, using a new black enamel formula straight onto a 9″ inch blue stain 15″ wheelbase beast, built for the pools. This was serious hours of work so not sure how many of these we will be making. Custom deck 007 (popsicle shape) will be using this design also though. We envy the shredder who gets to hang this on their wall or skate it!

We have just finished printing our first true pool deck. This square tail beast measures in at 9 x 32.8 inches and has a comfortable 15 inch wheelbase. A black stained beauty using a new enamel printing formula. Has to cure for a week before clear coating is applied, and then she can be yours!
